Brothers and Sisters,
November and December often feel like a whirlwind, and what a time to step into a new church family! It’s a busy season—traveling, wrapping up work, shorter weeks with just as much to do. For some, the return to school or regular schedules is a welcome relief; for others, it’s met with hesitation. So much of this season feels different from our normal rhythms, and it can be both disorienting and refreshing.
As we wrap up the first week of the new year, let’s take a moment to reflect on our daily and weekly rhythms. Sometimes, God disrupts our routines to help us reassess them. As a church, we’re doing just that by adjusting one of our own regular rhythms: we will no longer meet every Sunday night.
This change is intentional. Our desire is to create space for meaningful fellowship—in homes, around meals, and in deeper relationships with one another. We want to encourage you to:
• Invite someone from your Sunday School class out to lunch.
• Open your home to watch a game or play board games.
• Take a Sunday afternoon to rest as a family—yes, even napping can glorify God!
Our prayer is that this shift will help us grow closer as a church family. God’s Word reminds us to love one another deeply and to build each other up (Romans 12:10; 1 Thessalonians 5:11). Let’s make that our rhythm in 2025—prioritizing relationships that reflect the love of Christ.
Thank you for walking into this new season with us. Together, let’s grow deeper as a family and glorify God in the ordinary moments of life.
It is such a joy being your pastor. The best is yet to come!
In Christ,
Travis Smith
