The Pastor’s Pen

Brothers and Sisters,

Yesterday was a great day at Fellowship Baptist Church. Many of our church members were back home from visiting family, and there was so much joy in the church. We prayed together, we laughed together, we discussed Mark 15 in Sunday School, we sang loudly together, and the Word was preached. I can’t believe that we are more than halfway finished with our verse-by-verse study through the letter of Colossians.

As we approach the new year, I’ve been seeing all the ads and hearing people talk about their New Year’s resolutions. There’s always a lot of good advice—whether it’s about health, finances, or personal growth. But if we truly want to see lasting change in our lives, let’s put the Bible at the top of our list. When we prioritize God’s Word, all the good that flows from it—wisdom, peace, joy, and a closer walk with Christ—will shape everything else we do.

Looking ahead, I’m filled with anticipation for what God has in store for us in 2025. Let’s commit to walking faithfully with Him as we grow together in worship, service, and fellowship.

I encourage you to take some time to pray for our church’s ministries and the many ways God is calling us to serve our community. We have an exciting year ahead, and I’m excited to see how God will use each of us in His plan.

New Year’s Resolutions Church Edition

As we enter 2025, consider making these resolutions part of your walk with Christ:

Read the Bible Regularly (Psalm 1)
Share the Gospel Consistently (Matthew 28)
Pray for Pastors/Elders Fervently (Hebrews 13)
Serve Faithfully (1 Peter 4)
Give Sacrificially (2 Corinthians 9)
Get Involved Spiritually (Galatians 6)
Encourage Diligently (Hebrews 10)
Attend Increasingly (Hebrews 10)

Go all-in with an imperfect local church that preaches the Word this year, and watch God change your life and your church!

Chili Cook-off Fellowship | January 12th

Join us for a night of fellowship and LOTS of chili while we raise money for Camp!

If you would like to compete please make sure that you sign up at the Welcome Center at Church.

Beast Feast | February 8th

Join Us for Beast Feast 2024!

Men and boys, mark your calendars for Thursday, February 8th! Beast Feast, the annual sportsman banquet hosted by Second Baptist Men’s Ministry, is happening at the Conway Expo Center and Fairground in Conway, Arkansas.

Here’s what you need to know:

Departure Time: 2:30 PM from Fellowship Baptist Church
